SAINT-GERMAIN-DE-KAMOURASKA -

The Coalition for Quebec Regions is determined to get more powers to regional bodies.

Calling for decentralization of government, different public forums will be held to clarify the powers that she would recover.

A first meeting was held Saturday in Riviere-du-Loup, Bas-Saint-Laurent and another will follow on November 8 in Montreal.

The goal is to develop tracks in the 17 regions of Quebec and to culminate reflection of the General regions.

According to the coordinator of the Coalition, Romeo Bouchard, the lack of regional autonomy is a major obstacle to development regions and in both major centers in suburbs.  Several young people take part in the debate to recognize that Quebec regions as political and democratic rather than mere administrative regions.

Participants are invited to speak as citizens, even if they belong to political organizations or economic.
