Subject: Have Cons morphed into PCs?
I'm ahead of usual in finishing the Digest. Mayhap as a consequence others who have opinions may not have sufficient time to put fingertips to keyboard.Subject: Have Cons morphed into PCs?
Brad puts the question somewhat more directly than my admittedly at times laboriously phrased terminology.
Simply put, do you agree or disagree with this statement concerning the Conservative Party of Canada "We
are now pretty well where we were before the merger, minus of course the Reform/Canadian Alliance." http://canadafreepress.com/index.php/article/8335
As a second subject to consider are you comfortable with the directions in which the "frank" talks and discussions of a 'comprehensive strategy' are likely to go?

Joe,
No, but the Liberals have.
Look at Ignatieff. He has been and will continue to be all too cozy with Uncle Sam. His record is clear and out in the open. It is not traditional in recent history for a Liberal Prime Minister to get close to the Americans, that was tended to when a Progressive Conservative was the Prime Minister.
With the unlawful destruction of the former and legitimate Progressive Conservatives, the Liberals have now become the alternative to the Liberals! They have always been the party that morphed around the centre, but due to the crimes of Peter MacKay the centre has moved well to the right.

Joe,(dare to send my view)
One could claim all kinds of reasons why the CPC is
where they are today. To begin with the merger with
the left leaning Prog.Cons Party. that, with the Central
Canadian power took over leadership and their dying
heart to patronize Quebec.(Mulroney on the background)
Blaming it all on Harper is short-sighted as he nor anyone
else but the Americans are responsible for the economic
loss we are facing based on their overspending, from
individuals to all parts of government.
Unfortunate the Central Canadian controlled media is
as negative as the present PCP, am sure it would have
joined the "coalition", a coalition that can not stay
alive without Canadian tax-payers money and Iggy will
not get anywhere other than Upper and Lower Canada
as he said "Quebec is the centre of Canada". He will be
reminded in his effort to buy Western votes it will mark
him as the Trudeau finger. Before anyone blames look
over the shoulder and see what the reason is why we are
here today. Harper just handed CAE 330 million to buy
or try to buy support in a arrogant region, we are better
than the rest of the country, distinct (as long as you keep
sending money),
My Reform view.

Hi Joe:
Has the Conservative Party become just like the old PC Party of days gone by? Not yet. It is sliding that way, but it still hasn't become what it once was, that being Liberal Light. I mean, Joe Clark was to Conservatism as I am to ballet.
I'm not a fan of everything Harper, but does Grenville Rogers, when he has Russia, China, Venezuela to chose from, still figures Harper is running a dictatorship? However, I do share his concern in opening our country up to a fire sale. Take the example of down south, where much of the American debt is held by those who do not exactly have the best of intentions at heart for the United States. Do you think their economy might be somewhat vulnerable? If foreigners control your economy, they control the country. It is a no brainer.

Open question.....What does the 4th Estate mean in Canada anymore. Why are we treated everyday to Right Wing Warmongering Slop. What sort of attitude am I supposed to have in a supposed Democratic Country when anyone, with any intelligence should be able to see is Owned,Operated and Concentrated by people who are totally against anything that could be called a Peaceful, Nonpartisan Country.
We HAVE NOT BEEN ATTACKED,AND NEITHER WAS THE UNITED STATES BUT THE 911 THAT THE USA MASTERS SET UP,HAS CAUSED OVER 1 MILLION HUMAN DEATHS.
We are just a pawn, we people, of those who have grandiose ideas of dominating ,domination ,beating down the masses, the masses being US. So the 4th Estate is being used against us by the Owners of The Fourth Estate. I am too proud to like it, or accept it. I don't think I can change it, because there are too many Serfs in our Country, both uneducated and Educated.
You see Education is Linear, in other words anyone can learn enough to excel in a certain endeavour, make a living, become rich, but otherwise clueless.
Ray Strachan
=====
. . . this doesn't have meaning to me.
"You see Education is Linear, in other words anyone ? can learn enough to excel in a certain endeavour, make a living, become rich, but otherwise clueless."
=====
What I am saying is that if a person is so inclined to become a Doctor does not necessarily mean that person can think outside the box as far as a bigger picture of what is happening in the world, things that are important for human survival. Use the same illustratioin for a mechanic, very good mechanic ,what's going on around him, immaterial.
Joe I know school teachers who learned the linear method of school teaching, engage them in serious ,worldly questions ,huh. Lawyers, very good at law questions, what's going on in the world ,huh.
I have just ran into it too many times and been disappointed that my beliefs from my very young years were wrong, I just gave them way too much credit for general intelligence. There are 13 inch TV screens and 52 inch screens. Many educated are working with 13 inch screen if measured by out of the box intelligence. You must have experienced these people in your own life, or am I totally wrong? That's the best I can do for an explanation.
Will appreciate your take on it. I fully understand that I don't know everything,I will defend my beliefs tho until I am proven wrong.
I do not include you in the Cluless section, quite the contrary. I do not include myself in the highly intelligent section,but I am stupid enough to defend what I believe in when it comes to humanity, what is good,what is bad, because that is what will affect my Grandchildren.
For myself Joe I couldn't care less...
Ray
=====
Agreed.
