"TOXIC ASSETS"
Who will suffer the effects of the toxicity?

Finance Minister Jim Flaherty emerged from a meeting of his major international counterparts Saturday saying there is a clear commitment to end the global economic crisis and to deal with toxic assets held by banks around the world.
http://www.ottawacitizen.com/business/fp/Flaherty+praises+efforts/1391266/story.html

Canada's Finance Minister has identified that which is necessary, but as far as I can read the article in which he's quoted not how.

What are the options? The following video offers opinion that makes sense to me - but then I'm no economist.

Watch and listen to it.  Thee share with the Digest what you'd advise the Government of Canada to do.

A major new series

Over the coming weeks we will conduct a wide-ranging debate on this dominant political issue of the day. http://www.ft.com/indepth/capitalism-future
