Federal scientist fired over leaked food inspection memo
Documents appear to involve a significant revamping of food inspection

The documents appear to involve a significant revamping of food inspection that will shift more of the onus for food safety to the suppliers that manufacture and distribute food and other products.

"The obvious reason for this immoderate response is undoubtedly the agency's fear that the public will react badly to the substantial changes in product labelling and food inspection methods and procedures being proposed by the CFIA. These changes will amplify risk management, and the risk will be to the health of Canadian citizens," http://www.nationalpost.com/news/story.html?id=640857

Subject: Ottawa's wireless tax
http://www.nationalpost.com/opinion/columnists/story.html?id=aaa7c128-49ae-4677-ab28-bb304c567a87

Just a few questions. Mr. Corcoran states that "As of 4:04 p. m. yesterday,
Industry Canada's wireless spectrum auction had racked up total revenue of
$4,196,804,287. That works out to about $210 for each cell phone user in
Canada, a tax paid to Ottawa for, essentially, nothing." I ask him to name
one tax that has ever done anything for Canadians--in other words--taxes for
NOTHING!

" David French, adjunct research professor at the University of Ottawa,
draws a nice comparison between the spectrum regime and local land
development. Imagine, he says in a paper for the Journal of Public Sector
Management, if a municipality owned all the land in town and then operated a
zoning system that allocated property in the way Ottawa allocates spectrum
licences. "Commercial property would not be sold, but leased for periods of
10 to 20 years." Lease restrictions would establish exactly the use of the
land, what kinds of products or services could be sold from it, what kind of
building, holding what kind of technology and whether the lease could be
transferred. No property rights would exist, and there would be no secondary
market."
May I remind Mr. Corcoran that there ARE NO PROPERTY RIGHTS IN CANADA!!!!!
There are business taxes and property taxes, and at any time, if the
government deems it for the 'greater good' they may seize any land they
want. They already dictate how any land can be used. It doesn't matter if
you 'own' the land or lease the land, their word is law, right down to the
signage you may want. This is true of all levels of government. We are
living in a fairytale country. Will we ever grow up?

imilarities between 1929 and 2008 terrifying
Watching Wall Street and the American real-estate market crumble over the past 10 months has not inspired great confidence in our wonderful free-market economy or the land pirates who run it. As someone who recently wrestled with the causes and consequences of the Great Depression, I find the current economic shipwreck not merely spooky but downright terrifying. http://www.sltrib.com/Opinion/ci_9794754

The Standing Committee of Finance,

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Learned today that you are asking for presentation in preparation to the 2009 Budget.

Even as I do respect the invitation but the question remains will anyone be paying
attention to suggestions or recommendations, particular when they may be controversial.

The use of tax-payers money has proven to be one that is decided regardless the views
of the forced payee.

For me it is the use of taxpayers money on a matter they have never been consulted the
Liberal dictated enforcement of the two official languages for which billions are spend to
primate and dictate the acceptance of the French language. An enforcement that is
taking place beyond the reasonable necessity of the need of the French language.

Sadly much of that is done through bureaucratic backdoors, as recently has been
demonstrated in the undemocratic way in the Township of Russell, Ontario. The
pressure to accept the French language outside New Brunswick, the only official two
language province, and the French unilingual Quebec, has no economic value but
is only presented to hand the French (heritage or speaking) self confidence.

The corrupt way that it is handled should be enough to have a full enquiry and
Auditor General investigation, not only what is going on today, but the past funding,
as was learned that from 1969 to 2005 some 972 billion dollars were used to
plant the French language, while no, not even close, equal amount was used to
do the same with the English language, contrary the political negligence is found
in the lack of English language knowledge in English speaking Canada. Not even
to mention the undemocratic way the French language is used in Quebec, controlled
by a Nazi-style language Gestapo.

Altogether it is a demonstration that Canada as a Nation, whatever that means, has
lost the respectability, outside the country as well as inside, for it's Liberalism that
has been placed within in the later part of the 1960's.

To finalize my request it should noted that languages are a provincial responsibility
and the federal government in it's arrogant form is overriding this right. for what,
a minority that is directed to black mail the country if they are not served they want.

It has little to do with the French individual but the domination of French fanatics, that,
as proven, would go through anything to get their way.

Subject: F.Y.I.: Government "Credit for Early Action Program"

Why have we not heard of this as part of the alternative to the Green Shift?

On June 29th this news release Government Launches Credit for Early Action Program was carried in a CP release "Companies that curbed emissions before 2006 can now apply for carbon credits" By The Canadian Press http://ca.news.yahoo.com/s/capress/080629/national/tories_ghg_regs .

Comment on the programme or mention of it in comparison to Green Shift has not come to my attention.

Such being the case, though you may be fully aware of it and if so my apology, the following is sent for your information

Subject: FW: Something to Ponder
From: "Efstratios Psarianos"

THREE THINGS TO PONDER:

1.  COWS

2.  THE CONSTITUTION

3.  THE TEN COMMANDMENTS

COWS:  Isn't it amazing that during the Mad Cow epidemic our government could track a single cow, born in Canada almost 3 years ago, right to the stall where she slept in the state of Washington.  AND they tracked her calves to their stalls.  BUT this sme government is unable to locate 21 million illegal aliens wandering around our country.  Maybe we should give each of them a COW.

THE CONSTITUTION:  The government keeps talking about drafting a Constitution for Iraq.  Why don't we give them ours?  It was written by a lot of really smart guys and it worked for over 200 years...and we aren't using it anymore.

THE TEN COMMANDMENTS: The real reason we can't have the Ten Commandments posted in a courthouse is this:  You cannot post "Thou shall not steal",  "Thou shall not commit adultery and Thou Shall not LIE"  in a building full of lawyers, judges and politicians....It creates a hostile work environment.
Seems to say it all for me.
