INVASION OF PRIVACY OR NOT?

Should the private information of individuals contacting their Conservative Party of Canada Members of Parliament be viewed as and used as the property of the CPC fund raisers Party through its CIMS system " . . . to establish a base of supporters in order to gradually transform into members then donors, " . ?

Seems to me there ought to be a disclosure notice to those coming to the M.P.s offices for assistance.

I haven't the time right now to word it out . . . maybe someone else does.

         Joe

Dear Constituent,

Please be apprised that in seeking assistance  . . .

"Mr. Gerstein congratulated the party for having established the CIMS system (information management system on the constituents).  The database compiles and cuts all personal information that the party collected on individuals with whom he comes into contact, either because these people pay the money to the party or because they contact their MP to get assistance in dealing with bureaucracy.  It is through this system that hundreds of Canadian Jews, or people with a name consonance Jewish, received a map of Prime Minister Stephen Harper Rosh Hashanah in 2007.

"Our success is the result of years of investment in the development of an integrated complex, the cutting edge of using technology to extract data, segmentation, target marketing and our management our relations, all this in order to establish a base of supporters in order to gradually transform into members then donors, "said Gerstein.
